Arn Schilder: Health and Social Policy Researcher

Arn is a researcher in health and social policy with the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. He is also a person living with HIV disease. He has been active in both AIDS activism and research throughout the course of the epidemic.

As an advocate for treatment and care, he has acted in many capacities at the regional, national, and international levels for persons with HIV. He has published a number of papers dealing with sexual minority health care.

In April 2000, Arn presented Vanguard data on bisexuals ­ entitled "Determinants of bisexuality among young men who have sex with men" ­ at the 9th Annual Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research in Montreal.
